Charmaine is a Brooklyn-based educator, coach, and strategist reshaping how communities engage with cannabis. She is the founder of Emmerton Layne LLC and a certified Hello Seven Coach, bringing an equity-centered lens to business coaching and cannabis education. As co-strategy lead, Charmaine helps guide the vision and execution of the Diasporic Alliance for Cannabis Opportunities (DACO)’s Black Cannabis Week, held annually in Philadelphia. Her leadership spans operations, advisory frameworks, and sponsorship alignment for one of the nation’s most important gatherings advancing equity in cannabis. Through Cannabis With Clarity, she educates on integrating cannabis into wellness routines with intention and knowledge. She also develops practical industry tools, including The Cannabis & Hemp Wellness Glossary, which equips newcomers and professionals with a shared language around cannabis and hemp. With experience in teaching (PreK–6) and community development, Charmaine’s work is fueled by commitment to the African diaspora, entrepreneurism, and accessible education. She creates opportunities for individuals and institutions to learn, grow, and connect through cannabis—while advancing broader conversations about equity and workforce development.
